About the Recipe

This is my personal all-time favourite breakfast cereal. A great flexible recipe that is easy to adjust to your own taste with substitutions such as shredded coconut instead of dessicated or wholegrain oats if you really like fibre! Fruit, nuts, seeds and cereals can all be altered to taste.
Make breakfast your winning meal for a great start to your workday! Combine with weetbix for a genuine Kiwi combo (and to make your muesli last longer!)

Ingredients

4 cups Rolled Oats

1/2 cup Coconut

1/2 cup Bran Flakes/Wheatgerm

1/2 cup Raw Peanuts chopped

1/2 cup Hazelnuts chopped or Slivered Almonds

1/2 cup Pumpkin seeds

1/2 cup Sunflower seeds

1/2 cup Cooking oil

3 Tbsp Honey (heaped!)

1/2 cup Sultanas

1/2 cup Cranberries or Dried Apricots

1 cup Bran flakes, All Bran or Nutri-Grain Cereal

Instructions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 150° fanbake. Use a large roasting tray. Place first 7 ingredients in dish and mix well.



Step 2

Warm oil and honey in microwave for 30 seconds on high. Add to dry ingredients and mix well.



Step 3

Bake for 10-15 minutes and stir thoroughly. Then bake for further 10 minutes and stir again. Bake for another 5-10 minutes until desired level of crunch is achieved! Add dried fruit and cereal while hot and stir to combine. Allow to cool before placing in screw top jars or airtight plastic containers.
