Multifloral

Multifloral honey is a delicious surprise: the bees are free to range over bush and farmland and choose their favourite flowers at will. The resulting honey is an adventure to enjoy. Your taste buds will either experience a walk in the New Zealand bush or a summery wildflower meadow frolic.

Multifloral honey varies considerably depending on where the bees have foraged. If hives are located close to our unique New Zealand bush it may contain nectar from Hinau, Kamahi, Kanuka, Manuka, Tawari and other native flowers. This honey will be darker and full-flavoured.  Alternatively, if the hives are located in farmland or near urban gardens, the bees will collect nectar from wildflowers and garden plants and the honey produced will be lighter and milder in flavour.

Both styles of Multifloral honey are delicious - bees are great at mixing the best varieties together! Enjoy this honey on toast or waffles and in smoothies as well as any recipes calling for honey as an ingredient.

Our current stock of Multifloral honey is a bush mixture with a full rich flavour that is a darker colour than our Manuka! We also supply this honey creamed making it much mellower in flavour.

Raw Multifloral honey is naturally good for you with its high level of anti-oxidants and natural enzymes. Use as a natural remedy for cough and in the healing of wounds.

Raw honey is honey as it comes, straight from the hive. It has not been processed or filtered or pasteurized. It is suggested that the pollen in the honey collected from the area you live in, if taken regularly will help prevent pollen allergies.

Raw honey will contain enzymes, antioxidants and pollen that micro filtering and pasteurizing removes. Raw honey will crystalize more readily as pollen in the honey promotes crystallization.  If your honey does crystalize, put in a bowl of warm water (not hotter than 37 degrees) and the crystals will dissolve again.
